discussion=https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49717488, title=Show HN: deadSPEAKER, inc. – horror comedy puzzle game, hi, HN this is a horror-puzzle-comedy game i made for the run.world 'back to work' game jam. it's based on a worldbuilding project i developed based on a dream my brother had where he was working a call center job, & keenly aware the caller on the other end of the line had died a long time ago, so helping her troubleshoot remotely was going to be extra challenging the game was assembled entirely on the run platform, which runs phaser & that's the extent of my technical knowledge. i was a creative writing major & have essentially zero coding/programming knowledge. 2006 myspace html notwithstanding the gameplay/ui is based on my brief but traumatic stint at TWCable (rip) using a certain ICOMS billing system. which is to say, it's a little overwhelming, heavy on the 2000s jank, but imo also hauntingly nostalgic grateful to anyone who checks it out
