It supports faiss, qdrant, and pgvector people who have migrated large production vector indexes, would this be helpful for you?

Then all of this AI nonsense pulled me back in and made me want to see how far I could run with the original idea. The app automatically detects the remote host based on the focused window and uploads the image over SSH inside the `~/.cache/fainlane/uploads/` directory on the remote machine and then inserts the path at cursor. The app supports Ghostty, iTerm2, and Apple Terminal. Works even if you have multiple remote hosts you connect to. And works if you use tmux as well.

Users can use a variety of hints, each more expensive than the last, to reveal more information about the show to help them guess correctly. Trivia - Multiple-choice and short-answer questions to test their knowledge about fashion, the lore, the people, the processes, the history, and everything in between. Sketch - Users get a few moments to look at a fashion item and then are tasked with drawing it from memory. All of these contribute to a score you can see at the end on the last page, which sums everything up. Each section includes explanations, summaries, and sources, so users can get as much insight as possible for every question. There are new questions every 24 hours, and users can go back and play games from days past. I built it to help people learn more about fashion in a fun, low-stakes environment. Learning about fashion can be overwhelming, and I think Fashionguessr can present and package fashion education in a way that's more palatable. As an embedded engineer the output of arm-none-eabi-size and a spreadsheet tells me the story, but an email or a slide for the client doesn't do it. Another motivator for this project was why not make today look like the future of the movies! You watch tech action movies and there is 3D rotation views of processors, or circuits as holograms right in front of you, or animations of zooming through networks. These movie effects are designed for the exact same thing professional engineers want, to get the info across in an instant to people who don’t know the details. The action hero needs to show the mega-gigatron reactor is almost full, so the green-yellow-red bar graph is almost full, spinning and blinking red with a flashing warning sign suggesting impending doom! While in reality the stakes are less dramatic than that, imagine if the information on how full a system is was conveyed to a PM or VP in the same way? That's the goal of this project, give the engineer the tool to show the boss the details graphically, and make it look good. It's free to use. As you would expect, I used some agents to fill in the map, but for several reasons, some information may not be up to date or as accurate as it could be. The agents provide the initial “breadth,” while the idea is for the community to improve the accuracy over time with what they know: a new source URL, a correction, or a time-stamped picture from the ground. I see several use cases here: - finding a job where industrial activity is getting stronger - finding new logistics opportunities for a freight forwarder, as new industrial plants generate new recurring freight demand - helping select a future site in an emerging industrial cluster - detecting future real estate opportunities where the market hasn’t fully priced in I also see Fluidify as a way to explore beyond the places and projects you would normally think to search for. Most discovery starts with a location, company, or market you already know. On Fluidify, you can simply move across the map and discover industrial activity somewhere you were not looking: a new factory, an emerging cluster, or a region attracting several large investments at once. That can lead to opportunities you would never have thought to search for in the first place. As I invested my own money to build this, contractor data is not available for every project. Mapping and verifying contractors globally would simply be too expensive for me to do alone at this stage. Back in March, I launched my first app on the App Store. It was a notes app that uses Apple's on-device foundation model to organize your notes for you, and I called it Fog. And boy did I learn a lot. Looking at the notes app category and how saturated it currently is, I wanted to try something different. Privacy is #1, so notes should stay on the device, keeping the user in control. Then there was the AI aspect I was using to "automatically organize". So when a user creates a new note, it auto-names the note, generates tags, and tries to do a similarity search against existing folders with the same tags, and in the end the note would land in the folder, all autonomously. Sounds cool in theory and, from my understanding, no other app really did this, in addition to all AI processing happening on device using the same model that powers Apple Intelligence and Siri (works offline too). But this backfired b/c even I started using it less and less b/c I kept forgetting "what was that note called?" "Where'd it go?" "Why'd it move?". Notes and folders were ever-changing, which I also thought was cool but maybe not practical for what a note is meant to be: something to reference. Adjacent to this is how I designed Fog in 1.0. The trend here is Liquid Glass, and I got caught in the hype and overused it to the extent of the app losing readability. I used it everywhere cards, background, animations- and once again it backfired and didn't scale across all platforms. That's backwards from how Apple actually specs it: glass is meant to be the navigation layer sitting above your content, not the content layer itself. Fast forward to today, I took these learnings to share Fog 2.0. A minimalist notes app where Fog suggests, not decides. It still names the note; you can always change or generate a new one. You pick what notes go in a folder, and Fog generates a summary and a name, and if you don't like you can change it. The design now uses SwiftUI native components that scale across platforms and also adapts to different screen sizes; e.g., iPhone Duo support comes for free. The part I enjoyed using the most is Siri AI. Fog now leverages the note App Intent Schema to allow the user to ask/query in natural language, which is what I highlight in a fun demo I made below Overall, this has been an amazing experience for me as a solo indie dev working on something for fun on the side but also hearing feedback from the community. I've gotten a lot of positive feedback but a lot of negative, and it was definitely a new skill taking in both. Also, this is my first time writing this much in a while- a nice breath of fresh air.
