Take the example where the requirements says a free user gets 5 uploads. The code changes this behavior to 10. Test generated from the implementation may simply start expecting 10. But Marucheck treats the existing approved requirements as a separate evidence and flags the behavior change. Some of the things implemented currently are Quality contracts, repository and stack scanning, Git diff/change- impact analysis, risk based analysis, semantic drift detection, QA memory for previous bugs/regression, CLI workflows, integration for coding agents, Github/CI verification etc etc.. Another area I’m experimenting with is QA Memory. If six months ago a bug existed because users could access another customer’s invoice by changing an invoice ID, MaruCheck can associate that regression with the relevant files/contracts. If those areas change again later, that previous failure becomes part of the new verification plan. The project is local-first and I’m trying not to reinvent existing testing infrastructure unnecessarily. The idea is to orchestrate tools like Playwright/Vitest/security/Jest tooling rather than build another browser automation framework from scratch. Currently it's on NPM and you can runit using npx or npm by writiing npx --yes [email protected] init and all the information and docs are available on the site marucheck.dev. I have decided to build it in the open and I'm especially interested in feedback on all aspects. Contributors are very welcome as well - issues, adapters, testing, docs, bug reports, architecture criticisms, all of it. Thanks

I made a sorting algorithm last year out of curiosity and hobby not knowing that this was actually a selection sort variant. It still has outer and inner loop but, half of the operations than the traditional selection sort or O(n^2) sorting algorithm variants. Making outer loop n/2 smaller and inner loop is (n x n)/2 smaller as well. This is well tested with a lot of number arrangements like cliff, spike, reverse, duplicates, and any possible chaotic array of numbers. Kinda crazy to promoting an improved selection sort algorithm but yeah, made it with passion of CS. :D

The web is a bit broken and looking at social medias like X makes me a bit depressed. I feel like the original content that we had before on a multitude of website has been replaced by ton of click-bait content that just want impressions and reactions. I would like us to go back to simpler times, where everyone had their publishing space (their website, or an hosted solution) and everyone could subscribe to it in their own software and do what they want with their feed. I still think that social is important, like sharing, because afterall it's what made social networks interesting in the first place, but it should happen outside of where the content is. That's why I wanted to build an RSS reader that is respectful of this principle of federation: no in-app reader, just RSS subscriptions. And I've added social capabilities based on the AT Protocol, like sharing / liking and following people. The project was coded with AI, but it's my convictions that I've put it in. It's self-hostable and I hope that more and more people will be convinced to publish on their own website instead of X / Bluesky.

The first was FeyNoBg, which we released here https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49072462 . The big upgrade is promptability. Most models keep all foreground elements when cutting the background. MultiMatte lets you prompt the exact objects you want to keep and remove everything else. For example, If you have an image with a dog and a bowl, you can ask MultiMatte to keep just the dog. MultiMatte is built on Meta's SAM 3, a concept-promptable detector that already understands phrases. Our biggest change was in masking. Instead of binary masks that classify each pixel as being inside or outside an object, MultiMatte uses alpha mattes that assign an opacity value to each pixel, with respect to an object. This allows us to better represent hair, fur, motion blur, and other kinds of fuzzy boundaries. Across all our measured benchmarks, MultiMatte shows a step improvement over SAM 3. On DIS5K, S-measure rises from 0.674 to 0.908 (a 34.6% relative gain), and on DUT-OMRON from 0.792 to 0.901 (13.7%).
